Having ascertained that the negative information is accurate, that the perpetrator was not justified, and that reproof has proven unsuccessful (thus making it clear that there is a legitimate need to relate the information), one final condition must be met before the information can be conveyed. The speaker must be certain that his sole intent is l’toeless (gain, advantage), for a constructive purpose. However, if he knows in his heart he is pleased to cast the perpetrator in a bad light, he is not permitted to speak — even though the purpose cannot be accomplished any other way.

It is lowly to enjoy speaking negatively — even for constructive purpose. This is especially challenging when one is required to speak about a person with whom he does not get along. It is necessary to first eradicate any negative feelings toward that person, and only then can the negative information be spoken.

"Late Bloomers" - Funk Style
Parshat Naso: Sanctity and Order Within the Nation

Parshat Naso is the longest single parsha in the Torah, clocking in at 176 verses. That’s Torah’s way of saying, “Hey, you might want to take a long , serious and contemplative look at what you’re about to learn.”

I wanted to thank all those who have donated to this site, our YouTube & Rumble Channels for your generous support for Shmu's Views on Locals all this time. Your help has been so appreciated. As you may have noticed I no longer post videos and lessons as much as I used to. I have curtailed much of our channels on Locals, YouTube and Rumble for age-related reasons.

As a result, I cannot in good conscience continue to ask for your monthly financial contributions to the site.

Thank you so very much for all you have provided to ensure quality teachings on Judaism and politics.

I would ask that you find another worthy charity or a rabbi who teaches Torah and truth. I know they too would appreciate your support.

Again thank you for your generosity.

Sincerely,
Shmuel ben Shlomi
