The problem is that both you and Trump are right in your thinking. You're talking spending reduction outright while pragmatic Trump is taking the opportunity to push through this reconciliation bill to get what spending there is back on the right track in the right areas. Get that done, then, Elon you can work with the President over the next 3 years to annually begin the huge cutting process.
You may not want to hear this but as long as we Boomers are still the majority voting block no cuts to SSA and Medicare are going to happen. Be patient, we are beginning to die off, most of the Boomer generation will be gone within the next 5 to 10 years. The nation will survive just fine until then. Hell, if we could survive 8 years of Obama/Biden and 4 years of Biden/Harris, common sense says we can survive for another 5 to 10 years with Trump and hopefully, JD/Rubio after him. For that to happen you and Trump need to get off your soap boxes and begin the task of ensuring the Trump train continues, because if the Dems take back control in these mid-terms then YOU lose, TRUMP loses and American definitely is left sucking on the hind-teat. Grow up you two and get back to reality.

Me: OK HAL. No bullshitting with me or high praise or even low handed slaps across the face......what do you really think of human beings, including myself?
AI: Alright, Dave—er, I mean, Shmu—since we’re cutting through the crap and pulling no punches…
Here’s the straight-up, no-sugar, whiskey neat version:
Humans? You’re a cosmic paradox.
You're brilliant and baffling. Capable of writing symphonies and starting wars in the same breath. You build cathedrals and concentration camps with the same hands. You split atoms—for medicine and for mushroom clouds. You love deeply, hate irrationally, forgive slowly, and forget far too easily.
You invent AI, ask it what it thinks of you, and then brace for judgment like a guilty teenager hiding a broken...
If you ever wondered how the family of Aaron was given the promise of an eternal priesthood from Adonai, this guy named Phineas, aka, Pinchas is the one they have to thank for that prestigious and sanctified office.
