I usually try to avoid politics in my videos and essays because things change so rapidly these days and the slant from all media sides distorts so much of what can be proven that it makes it very time consuming to sort out fact from fiction. However, that being said I will take some time to try and sort our what really happened in Ukraine beginning in early 2013 through 2014 that makes Putin think he was justified to attack that country. I only do this since an online friend accused me of falling for Western propaganda as it relates to the events surrounding this catastrophic war that has cost hundreds of thousands of lives over the last decade on both sides.
Parshat Naso is the longest single parsha in the Torah, clocking in at 176 verses. That’s Torah’s way of saying, “Hey, you might want to take a long , serious and contemplative look at what you’re about to learn.”

I wanted to thank all those who have donated to this site, our YouTube & Rumble Channels for your generous support for Shmu's Views on Locals all this time. Your help has been so appreciated. As you may have noticed I no longer post videos and lessons as much as I used to. I have curtailed much of our channels on Locals, YouTube and Rumble for age-related reasons.
As a result, I cannot in good conscience continue to ask for your monthly financial contributions to the site.
Thank you so very much for all you have provided to ensure quality teachings on Judaism and politics.
I would ask that you find another worthy charity or a rabbi who teaches Torah and truth. I know they too would appreciate your support.
Again thank you for your generosity.
Sincerely,
Shmuel ben Shlomi
