Haftarah Bereshit: The Light
The Haftarah for Bereshit found in Yeshayahu (Isaiah) is one of those sections that doesn’t just echo the Book of Genesis, it answers it. It’s Isaiah doing midrash, prophecy, and theology all at once, and he’s doing it with the same cosmic brushstrokes that the Torah begins with.
Parshat Naso is the longest single parsha in the Torah, clocking in at 176 verses. That’s Torah’s way of saying, “Hey, you might want to take a long , serious and contemplative look at what you’re about to learn.”
