Parshat Noach: In the Days of Noach...and Now!
In Parshat Noach, the Torah tells us, “And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. That word used for violence in this sidra is hamas, but it doesn’t just mean “violence.” It means lawlessness, injustice, moral chaos. The parallels between then and our 21st Century world are phenomenal.
Parshat Naso is the longest single parsha in the Torah, clocking in at 176 verses. That’s Torah’s way of saying, “Hey, you might want to take a long , serious and contemplative look at what you’re about to learn.”
